Nipissing – Proposed Boundaries

(Population: 83,821)

Consisting of:

  • (a) the Territorial District of Nipissing, excepting:
    • (i) that part of the Territorial District of Nipissing lying southerly and easterly of a line described as follows: commencing at the northeast corner of the geographic Township of Deacon; thence westerly and southerly along the northerly and westerly boundaries of said geographic township to the northeast corner of the geographic Township of Lister; thence westerly, southerly and easterly along the northerly, westerly and southerly boundaries of said geographic township to the northwest corner of the geographic Township of Anglin; thence southerly along the westerly boundary of the geographic townships of Anglin, Dickson and Preston to the northerly boundary of the geographic Township of Airy; thence westerly along said boundary to the northeast corner of the County of Haliburton;
    • (ii) that part of the Territorial District of Nipissing lying northerly and westerly of a line described as follows: commencing at the intersection of the easterly limit of said territorial district with the northerly boundary of the geographic Township of Wyse; thence westerly and southerly along the northerly and westerly boundaries of said geographic township to the northerly boundary of the geographic Township of Garrow; thence westerly along the northerly boundary of the geographic townships of Garrow, Osborne, Hammell and Gladman to the westerly boundary of the geographic Township of Gladman; thence southerly along the westerly boundary of the geographic townships of Gladman, Lyman, Charlton and Beaucage to the northerly boundary of Nipissing Indian Reserve No. 10; thence westerly and southerly along the northerly and westerly boundaries of said Indian reserve to the northern shoreline of Lake Nipissing; thence generally easterly along said shoreline to the westerly limit of the City of North Bay; thence southerly along said limit to the northerly limit of the Territorial District of Parry Sound; and
  • (b) that part of the Territorial District of Parry Sound lying northerly and easterly of a line described as follows: commencing at the intersection of the easterly limit of the Territorial District of Parry Sound with the southerly boundary of the Township of Joly; thence westerly along the southerly boundary of the townships of Joly and Strong to the easterly limit of the Municipality of Magnetawan; thence northerly and westerly along the easterly and northerly limits of said municipality to the easterly limit of the Municipality of Whitestone; thence northerly and westerly along the easterly and northerly limits of said municipality to the westerly boundary of Lot 20, Concession 1 of the geographic Township of Wilson; thence generally northerly along the westerly boundary of Lot 20, concessions 1 to 14 of the geographic Township of Wilson and the westerly boundary of Lot 20, concessions 1 to 5 of the geographic Township of McConkey to the northerly boundary of Concession 5 of the geographic Township of McConkey; thence easterly along said boundary to the westerly boundary of the geographic Township of Hardy; thence northerly along said boundary to the southerly boundary of Dokis Indian Reserve No. 9; thence generally northeasterly, generally northwesterly and generally northeasterly along the southerly and easterly boundaries of said Indian reserve to the northerly limit of the Territorial District of Parry Sound.
